Our team managed the entire creative process—from conceptualisation and multi-site production to a dynamic final edit—delivering a premium visual asset for LCLHN's online presence. Mixed Mediums produced the seven-part ‘Join RMCLHN’ recruitment campaign, a comprehensive video series designed to showcase the diverse professional and lifestyle opportunities within the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network. Our production team managed an extensive logistical operation, filming with nine participants across fifteen regional townships—including Murray Bridge, Berri, Renmark, Loxton, and the Mallee region—to capture a true representation of rural healthcare. We focused on delivering high-quality, authentic storytelling that highlights the unique community connections and modern facilities available to health professionals in regional South Australia. The final suite of seven films provides RMCLHN with a versatile content library, featuring cinematic snapshots for high-impact presentations alongside tailored edits for multi-platform digital recruitment. This project further solidifies Mixed Mediums as a leader in regional SA government video production, specializing in large-scale, multi-location healthcare campaigns.

Vaping Concerns in Schools

Vaping has become a population health concern, and schools are reporting alarming incidents of vaping within their student cohorts. The rapid introduction of e-cigarettes, changes to legislation, and vast number of devices available make it very difficult for schools and educators to keep up-to-date with the changing landscape. A series of six videos outlining the health implications, laws, curriculum and impact upon young people were produced for internal training purposes.

School and preschool leaders are able to put in an expression of interest to undertake whole of school professional development in trauma informed practice in education. The professional development can be undertaken with approved external providers. The TASi showcase included a series of eight vignettes featuring schools who have embedded Trauma Aware Practice.

SAFA Reinsurance Video

The South Australian Government Finance Authority (SAFA) engaged Mixed Mediums in 2021 to produce a reinsurance video for insurance underwriting of the Government of South Australian due to the inability to travel during COVID-19 restrictions. The complexity and breadth of capturing South Australia's assets, landscape, insurance risks for an international audience was an exciting challenge, and ultimately successful in it's objective. The Prevent Alcohol & Risk-related Trauma in Youth Program (P.A.R.T.Y.) is an innovative program that draws on the experiences of trauma professionals and trauma survivors to educate young people, by showing them what can happen when they make a risky decision. The program is most effective when delivered in-person, however COVID restrictions to in-hospital visitors meant that the team needed a realistic scenario to be filmed to continue delivering the program.

Our Journey

After an extended period of uncertainty and job insecurity, the looming threat of privatisation and a pandemic, SA Pathology went through a rigorous review process and in November 2019, their future as the public pathology service for South Australia was guaranteed. An historic 18 months were captured from the point-of-view of those who faced it, resulting in a short documentary to thank staff, as well as a shorter version released publicly in July 2021.
